Pertama kali dengar
musiknya, saya langsung suka. Musiknya semanis namanya, dengan lagu-lagu Easy listening dan mayoritas berlirik bahasa inggris dengan
warna lagu pop dengan sentuhan swing jazz, twee pop, dan suasana ala t`hun 60-an Mocca semakin mewarnai belantika musik Indonesia. Mocca sendiri adalah grup musik indie asal Bandung.
Grup ini beranggotakan Arina Ephipania (vokal dan flute), Riko Prayitno
(gitar), Achmad Pratama / Toma (bass), dan Indra Massad (drum).
Awal berdiri
Pada mulanya Arina dan Riko merupakan teman satu kampus di IPB. Mereka tergabung dalam sebuah band kampus tahun 1997-an. Karena tidak cocok dengan anggota yang lain, Arina dan Riko pun sepakat mendirikan "Mocca". Dua tahun kemudian mereka bertemu dengan Indra dan Toma. Indra dan Toma merupakan teman satu kampus di Institut Teknologi Nasional, Bandung dan masuk ke Mocca pada waktu yang sama. Mocca pertama kali mucul dalam kompilasi Delicatessen (2002) dengan lagunya Secret Admirer, dan langsung merebut hati penggemar.

Lagu-lagu seperti "Secret Admirer" dan "Me and My Boyfriend" menjadi hits di mana-mana. Video klip "Me and My Boyfriend" mendapat penghargaan sebagai "best video of the year" versi MTV Penghargan Musik Indonesia 2003.
Bahkan mereka menandatangani kontrak dengan salah satu indie records di Jepang, Excellent Records, untuk mengisi satu lagu dalam album yang format rilisannya adalah kompilasi book set (3 Set) yang berjudul "Pop Renaisance". Ada 3 disc yang diedarkan di Jepang dan Mocca berada di disc no. 2 dengan lagu "Twist Me Arround".
Mocca kembali merilis album kedua mereka tahun 2005 bertajuk "Friends" masih dibawah label indie, Fast Forward Record. Dalam album ini Mocca tidak tampil sendirian. Mereka menggaet dua musisi andal untuk memperkaya musik mereka. Dari dalam negeri, mereka menghadirkan Bob Tutupoli untuk mengisi suara dalam lagu "This Conversation" dan lagu yang khusus dibuat untuknya, "Swing It Bob". Mereka juga berduet dengan musisi asal Swedia, Club 8. Bersama duo asal Swedia ini, Johan dan Karolina Komstedt, Mocca membawakan lagu "I Would Never".

Mocca juga terlibat dalam pembuatan lagu soundtrack. Kuartet ini pernah mengerjakan soundtrack film "Catatan Akhir Sekolah" karya Hanung Bramantyo dan soundtrack sinetron TV "Fairish the Series".
Mocca juga membuat sebuah mini album berisi 6 lagu, 2 di antaranya berbahasa Indonesia. Mini album ini sebelumnya berjudul "Sunday Afternoon", tapi dirilis dengan judul "Untuk Rena".
